Nap Time Update...

First of all it blows my mind how fast time can fly! So much has happened since my last update that I don't even know where to begin so I'll just hit some of the major events. Alex successfully finished his first semester of Medical school and is now continuing to do great in his second semester. It amazes me how smart he is and how well he is doing in all his classes especially with his busy family life here at home. Even though I don't think I get to see he that often I have recently learned that he is home a lot more than most of the other medical students. I feel so blessed to have such an awesome husband who can balance his school and family life so well.

For Thanksgiving we went down to Pensacola to spend time with my parents and with Alex's dad. It was fun and stressful as it seems most holidays are but we enjoyed being able to see everyone especially since we weren't sure when we would get to go back. A few days after we got back home I went into preterm labor and it was a train wreck! I don't know if anyone knows what it's like to be on Magnesium for 18 hours but I almost would have rather had Hudson early! It was miserable and the only reason I made it through, aside from having my amazing husband by my side, was by staying drugged up and by telling myself I wanted a fat, healthy baby! Needless to say I ended up being induced even though I continued to have contractions until he was finally born. He's my stubborn little man and he is definitely fat and healthy! He was 9 days early (Dec 28) and weighed in at a huge 9 lbs 1 oz! Keep in mind I'm only 5ft tall! I can only imagine how big he would have been if I had waited till my due date. I KNOW my body could not have handled pushing out a 10lb baby!

Back to Christmas...We spent Christmas at home with just the three of us and it was very fun and relaxing even though we missed being able to be with family. Jaden woke us up with his gifts from his stalking in tote which was adorable because he usually comes to our room first and for whatever reason went to the living room first on this morning. He opened his gifts and then Alex and I opened ours. It wasn't much but mostly because we couldn't think of anything to get each other. Overall it was a great Christmas!

Now things are getting back to normal having to kids at home. I am absolutely enjoying not being pregnant! I love being able to put Hudson down if I need to and I love being able to kiss his little face all day everyday! Jaden loves him too and has adjusted very well. He tries to help out but usually just ends up in the way. He loves to being Hudson the pacifier, which he doesn't really care too much for, and it terrifies me because Jaden doesn't know how strong he is, but overall they are great together.

Last but not least, we will be moving out of our apartment into a house in about a month and I can hardly wait! It is being built for us so it is exactly what we want. My favorite part is that it will have a fenced in backyard and a two car garage, both essential in my book especially with two kids!

That's all for now, I can't promise I'll update soon but I will most certainly try.
